We were first married in 1981, so long ago…We married very young and essentially grew up together raising 4 children the best we knew how. We struggled many years, we did not know what we did not know. After our children became adults, and in our ignorance, we experienced a series of life altering events resulting in a devastating divorce. But God is faithful! He eventually brought us to reconciliation and restoration to better than before.

Once we were able to see past the pain, we began purposeful and intentional study and application of God’s Word about marriage and family and how it applies to our lives today… We have since graduated with degrees from Bible College in Theology and Pastoral Studies. We are Certified Marriage Specialists through National Association of Marriage Enhancement (NAME) with 5 years as marriage and pre-marital counselors. We are also members of the American Association of Christian Counselors, (AACC)

Looking back, we now see our divorce as a pot-hole that we needed to get us onto the road we were meant to travel. God has put a passion into our hearts for marriage and family. Having gone through our own junk, we have a unique understanding of the trials that happen in marriage. We have much to share and teach so others may avoid the devastation and consequences of divorce, learn to successfully work through the challenges that will come and ultimately experience the amazing life God desires for each marriage.

Our passion and purpose is to encourage, cultivate and be an instrument for God to build and strengthen marriages and families , communities and country. Some posts will be instructional, some correctional and all are intended to be encouraging. Life happens and we are all human beings. We “all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:23,24 NIV) and with that being said, we are all in or should be in process of improvement.

As we continue to grow and learn we want to share it with you that maybe you will benefit as well. We always encourage you to look up and study God’s Word (the bible), we will be including passages as we go. So smile, buckle your armor and be ready for the journey.
